Make it fast and easy......

Having to juggle between work and family can be real headache at times....especially when you have a picky eater at home. Yes, that's my big baby. I can tell you, she don't take greens at all! For that, I always get condemnation from others.....People will say, 'Aiya....your girl don't take vege ar? Not good la,must force her to take!' Well, I don't really bother about it because I know my girl very well. So, how? As easy as ABC,make ABC soup lor. I will buy all sorts of vege and throw in the pot to make a bowl of 'green soup'...LOL!! From the soup, she still can get nutrition, right? Pheww....Luckily she likes any kind of soups.

Everyday, I will fully utilize my lunch hour to cook or do some house chores. After fetching small E, we will go home first while waiting for big E to finish her school.

I don't know what you call this but I called it 'Pearl Bean'. The beans will turn soft pretty fast and the soup texture is a little bit creamy.
**Pearl Bean

Throw everything inside the inner pot. Simmer for about 15 minutes...

Meanwhile I will prepare the fish. All I need is just to place the steamer pot on top of the inner pot.Bring the 2 pots and place inside the thermal cooker to cook. By the time I come back from work with the kids, everything is ready. Quickly go and take my shower while leaving the kids to watch tv. After that, we will have our dinner together.

That's a life of a full time working mom (FTWM). It may sounds boring, but that's how I live my life to the fullest with no regrets. If I feel tired, all I need is to take a break.

20 Talks:

  1. You are super good. I don't cook on weekdays. I only cook on weekends. A bit lucky, I have a MIL who cooks for us on weekdays. I just pack the dinner from her place and back home after work.

  17. I had my share of being busy as a bee when my daughter was growing up. Not only the managing of home but the driving around for tuition, church etc etc. Now that she is already grown up, its slightly easier.

However being married to someone who is committed to his job, back to managing home affairs with practically everything.

I have seen the beans but have not cooked it before. I think after seeing your sharing, I have more courage to give it a try and thanks for that.
